Website canon
Mechanical engineering textbooks
The official bookshelf for this curriculum. It stays compact: one main textbook per area, legal book-search links, and advanced-track books separated from the bachelor core.
Public beta: MechCompass is currently in public beta. The roadmap and platform structure are live, while detailed course modules are being developed progressively.
How to read this page
One main book per area, not a pile of companions. Open and free books link to their official pages; the rest link to a bookstore search so you can find the latest legal edition.
Evidence levels tell you how strong the claim is, with no overclaiming:
- Verified university use: we can point to a specific public university syllabus, linked.
- Standard reference: a standard text across many engineering programs, not individually cited here.
- Recommended support text: a useful companion, often free and legal to read online.
- Advanced reference: for deeper or specialized study, in the second table.
Chapters shows how far the chapter guide is developed. In course means the course already includes chapter-level guidance; Planned means the mapping will be added as that course is expanded.
